The 2007 year began with high hopes, but motor struggles limited the early season success. Attending all Winged Outlaw Warrior events allowed Brad to hang in the top 15 in points. Once the team figured out the fuel issues that was limiting horsepower the team spent the next few races dialing in the chassis. A rain out that limited points at Sedalia set Brad back even farther. Brad and the team came back strong the next week at Double X Speedway in California, MO with a fourth place finish, the second of two top five finishes and the best of the year. In the season finally at Midway Speedway in Lebanon, MO Brad had one of the strongest cars of the year. A half lap heat race win had the team looking for the first feature win of the year. An early race incident knocked the setup off, but Brad was able to hang on for a top ten finish allowing for a sixth place finish in points. The 2008 season will bring new challenges. As the team continues to look for speed and horsepower out of the motor and the right setup to push them to their first feature win.
Brad is entering his fifth year at the wheel of the family owned Maxim 360 Sprint Car. The first four years of his career have been up and down to say the least. After winning Rookie of the Year and finishing third in points at Double X Speedway in California, MO the first year the dreaded Sophmore slump came to light the next year. The following year ended abruptly with a wreck on the third night of racing over Labor Day weekend. The fourth season began with struggles of a new car. Once all the bugs were worked out Brad was able to come on strong. A sixth place points finish in the very competitive Winged Outlaw Warriors and a heat race win on the final race of the year left Brad excited for 2008.
The 2008 season currently has several unanswered questions. The schedule, while posted, is always subject to change. There are current plans to run with the ASCS National Series and the Winged Outlaw Warriors as well as spend a lot of time at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, MO. Come out and enjoy another exciting year of 360 sprint car racing.
