As Brad Graham Racing's season had come to a close Brad was given the opportunity to drive the Brown Racing 48 on Saturday evening at Midway Speedway in Lebanon, Mo. Being the second night of the non-wing special two night show Brad had to start at the back of the feature race. Brad had worked his way up through the field thanks in part to a few cautions keeping the field close. Brad was challenging for fourth place when the right rear tire started to go flat and the brakes started to fade. Brad would end up finishing in seventh place.
A special thanks goes out to Frank and David Brown for allowing Brad to drive the Brown Racing number 48 on Saturday night!
As the team was preparing the car for this weekend's non-wing race at Midway Raceway they found that the frame was bent. With only a few races left in the year the team will not make the needed repairs. This will bring the year to a close. The plans for next year have yet to be discussed. Continue to check back for updates as they become available.
Brad Graham Racing would like to thank all proud sponsors and supporters from this and past years! Your support is greatly appreciated!
Brad took advantage of what might be a lone opportunity to race with the World of Outlaws on Sunday night at Lucas Oil Speedway in Wheatland, MO. Twenty-seven cars attended the event, the first ever for the World of Outlaws at Lucas Oil Speedway. Running under powered with his 360 cubic inch motor and a loose racecar Brad qualified in 26th place and starting at the back of the first heat. Thanks to the remnants of tropical storm Ike coming through Saturday night the track looked to be heavy, but it quickly slicked off as cars took to the track. Brad made an early move to get under Dan Oswalt for seventh place and ran a clean race to end up right there.
The finish in the heat meant Brad had to go through the last chance race if he hoped to meet his goal of starting the A feature. Starting seventh Brad only needed to move up one spot to make the A feature. As the race got underway Brad again had to pass Dan Oswalt which he was able to do fairly quickly. Brad was then able to settle in comfortably and finish solidly in sixth place moving him to the A feature.
Brad started the A feature where he had started the rest of the night at the back where he hoped to stay out of trouble and out of the way. That quickly changed on lap three when Chris Morgan spun in front of him and left him with no place to go. The damage to the car was enough that Brad's night was over with a 24th place finish. Jack Haudenschild went on for the win followed by Donny Schatz, Jason Meyers, Kraig Kinser and Craig Dollansky. Check out the World of Outlaws homepage for detailed information.
The rest of the season is again in question with substantial damage sustained to the car. The team is looking at whether to prepare the car for any further racing this year or be ready to come back strong for next year. Make sure to check back for updates as they become available.
The second night of the LOS 360 Nationals proved to be a tough night of racing. On a night where passing was at a premium the starting draw would be pivotal. A draw that put Brad on the inside of the last row in the the last of four heats meant Brad had an uphill climb. Brad had moved up several spots to put him just outside the top five when a caution came out causing Brad to give up a couple spots. A one groove track would not allow Brad to move from the back of the pack and finished seventh.
Brad would have to go through the B feature if he was going to make the A feature on this night. Brad quickly moved up several spots in sixth. Brad was be heavily pressured from Kyle Bellm before Kyle moved to the top looking for speed. Brad continued to run the bottom of the track behind Rusty Potter and Eric Todd as they battled it out for fourth place. Brad was able to make a strong pass of both Potter and Todd in turns three and four on the white flag lap and win the drag race back to the start/finish line and end up fourth. Only the top three went on to the A feature, so this would end Brad's night. Check out RacingBoys.com for detailed information on how the exciting A feature would play out.
Brad and the team will have at least one week off before continuing the season. The schedule is a little up in the air as most tracks are starting to wrap up the year. Continue to check back for news and updates!
Saturday night started the first of two nights of racing as part of the Lake Ozark Speedway 360 Nationals. A total of 45 cars attended the event. Brad started the night off outside the front row of the first heat next to three time WOW points champion Randy Martin. A strong start put Brad in the lead going into the first turn, but that was short lived as Martin was able to dive back underneath exiting turn two. By the time the first lap was complete Brad was back to third. A strong battle pursued for third and fourth as the top two drivers ran away from the field. A commanding run put Brad finishing third securing the final transfer spot to the A feature.
Starting eleventh in the A feature would mean a top ten was within reach. A caution filled first few laps kept the field bunched up. Brad ran the bottom of the track with most of the rest of the field battling to move towards the front. After the the field started to settle in Brad had a hard fight with several drivers and was able to finish in a solid tenth place finish. A late bobble by Gary Wright gave Jack Dover the win. Check out the Lake Ozark Speedway website for more results.
With more cars expected to be there for the second night of racing at the LOS 360 Nationals the competition is sure to be even higher. Come out and see the winged 360 sprint cars battle it out again on Sunday night!
Saturday night was the Lake Ozark Speedway season championship night. After taking last week off to make repairs to the car after a wild wreck two weeks ago Brad was using this as a tune up for next weekends LOS 360 Nationals. Brad started his night fourth in the heat. Racing with a stong bunch of cars he had his work cut out for him. He would run third for a good part of the race before get passed by Randy Martin. Brad would go on to finish where he started in fourth.
The fourth place finish in the heat put Brad starting twelfth in the A feature. Brad started the race running the top, but between cautions and the top going away Brad fell back to around eighteenth. After figuring out the bottom would allow the car work better he was able to make his way back to finish fourteenth. The car and the team should now be ready for some of the best and toughest racing of the year next weekend at the Lake Ozark Speedway 360 Nationals on Saturday and Sunday evening. Come out and enjoy a wild weekend of racing!
Brad joined the rest of the weekly 360 sprint car drivers at the Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo on Saturday night. Only seventeen cars were in attendance for this weeks race. Brad started his night second in the second heat race. Brad had a good battle with Brian Grimes for the first few laps with Grimes eventually taking the second spot. Brad would go on to a solid third place finish sending him to the dash.
Starting sixth in the dash Brad had to make up ground quickly in the short sprint. Right away he had moved up one spot to fifth, but would not go any higher. With a fifth place finish in the dash it looked like a good opportunity for a strong top five finish in the feature. Shortly after taking the green flag Josh Fisher and John Corbin got together ending Fisher's night. After the restart Brad fell back to seventh before starting to make his way back up through the field. Brad's night would come to an abrupt end when the rear axle broke sending the car over on its top. Brad would finish the night in sixteenth.
Brad and the team is again scheduled to attend the weekly show at LOS next week. Full damage results to car are not known at the time of this report to determine if the team will be ready next week or not. Continue to check back for updates as they become available.
Sixteen cars attended the weekly sprint car race at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, MO Saturday evening. Brad started fifth in the first of two heats. Brad got a rough start and fell to the back of the pack. As Brad determined the car was not fast enough to make his move to the front he simply searched for a fast way around the dry slick track prior to the feature. Brad would finish the heat in last.
The finish in the feature put Brad starting fifteenth in the A feature. A good start this time quickly moved Brad towards the front. By the time the first caution flag flew early in the race Brad had moved up to eleventh. Brad again started moving up through the field as the green flag again flew. The laps were winding down and it looked like Brad was on his way to a good finish, but that quickly changed. A car spinning in front of Brad caused him to make evasive move, but still unable to avoid the wreck. By the time all cars came to a stop the incident had collected a total of four cars. Brad would get credit for finishing eleventh.
The team will have a couple of weeks off before returning to the track at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo.
A small crowd of only seventeen cars attended the weekly event at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, MO on Saturday evening. Brad started his night on the outside of the front row in the the second heat. A great start propelled Brad into the early lead. Brad would go on for a dominate, uncontested win in the heat race.
Brad started the Dash again on the outside of the front row, but would not stay there this time. An adjustment on the car caused the car to run hard on the right rear tire and fell back to finish sixth. With some bad luck by Josh Fisher, Brad was able to move up one spot starting the A feature in fifth.
As the A feature got underway the car was handling better, but was not as fast as it was. Brad had a hard fight to stay in the top five, but as the laps started to count down a couple slips pushed him back to finish eighth. The team hopes it is starting to turn the corner and get back on track. They will attempt again next week to move forward! Check out Lake Ozark Speedway's homepage for detailed results!
The team joined forty other cars at the Daniel McMillin Memorial Saturday night at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, MO. As the ASCS and WOW regulars attended the event the competition was at its highest. Starting on the pole for the fifth heat Brad looked primed to have a good finish. After getting pinched down on the start Brad was saved by a first lap caution that reset the field to the original lineup. A good start on the second attempt put Brad in the lead going into turn three. As the race progressed Brad had a hard time getting the car to turn through the corner. After fighting hard to keep Kyle Bellm behind him a late race pass put Brad finishing fifth.
After being the last sprint car heat on the track, Brad ended up in the first of the two B features for the night. A quick turn around gave the team very little time to make any significant changes to the car. Brad started fifth and quickly fell back. Brad would end the night in a disappointing tenth. Check out the WOW homepage for detailed results. The team will try again next week with the weekly event at Lake Ozark Speedway. Come out and cheer the team on!
Brad attended the weekly show at Lake Ozark Speedway at Eldon, Mo on Saturday night with a total of sixteen cars joining the event. Brad started the night out second in the first of two heats. Brad was holding his spot running a good race before jumping the cushion and having to back off the throttle. This allowed Matt Sutton to get around him for the second spot. Brad finished the heat in a strong third place.
With the solid run during the heat race Brad had a chance to run the Qualifying Dash. Starting in fifth spot it was going to be hard to move up through the field. As the race began it was obvious that the track had gone away. Brad was unable to handle the rough track and finished in sixth.
The A feature started with Brad starting sixth. The track crew attempted to fix the track problems prior to the A feature, but their efforts were not rewarded. Brad spent most of the first half of the race avoiding the rough spots around the track and was not able to move up through the field. As the final laps of the race were winding down Brad had to pull of due brake problems. He would go on to finish the night in twelfth. Josh Fisher went on for the win followed by Jason Evans, Mike Trent, Clint Todd and J Kinder rounding out the top five. For more information on all the racing from Saturday night check out the Lake Ozark Speedway website.
Due to scheduling issues the team has decided to take next weekend off. They will again return to track on July 5 at Lake Ozark Speedway as they take on the ASCS National series. Hope to see everybody there!
Only twelve cars joined the WOW race on Saturday night at Springfield Raceway in Springfield, Mo. Starting third in the first heat it look like Brad could have one of the best finishes of the year. As the green flag flew it was obvious that a loose racecar on a slick track would prevent any hope of a good finish. Brad quickly fell back and finished sixth.
Starting eleventh in the A feature it would seem that with a few adjustments the team should walk out with its first top ten of the year. Once the race started to unfold the track became a single groove and passing was at a premium. A car that was still not setup correctly caused Brad to run around the tail end of the field and finish in a disappointing tenth. Check out the WOW website for detailed information on this and other night's of WOW racing
Brad joined the other twenty-three cars at the weekly show at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, Mo on Saturday night. The night started with Brad starting fourth in the third heat. As the field was finishing the first lap two cars got together in front of Brad and he had to let of the throttle causing him to fall back to seventh. After regaining his momentum he was able to make his way back to finish fifth.
Starting fifteen in the A feature meant Brad had a lot work ahead of him to get the front. As the green flag flew it looked like he might have a car to contend for at least a top ten finish, but that was not to be. With about seven laps left Brad had to pull off due to the car again overheating. Brad finished the night in twentieth. Check out the Lake Ozark Speedway web page for more detailed results.
Twenty-two cars attended the Larry Martin Memorial at Double X Speedway in California, MO on Sunday night. After getting rained out on both Friday and Saturday evening everybody was anxious to get on the track. Brad continued his bad starting luck starting seventh in the final of three heats. A loose race car and a two car battle in front prevented much of a move up as Brad finished sixth.
The sixth place finish in the heat put Brad starting third in the B feature. A smooth non-eventful race allowed Brad to easily move to the A feature with a third place finish. Coming from the B feature Brad had to start sixteenth out of the twenty cars starting the A feature. As the field came around to take the green flag several cars got together causing the first caution. Brad narrowly escaped the incident squeezing between two other cars with only minor damage. A clean restart and smooth race was underway until Brad brought out the second caution coming to stop on the back stretch. This ended the night as the car had started to over heat for the second time of the night causing him to finish in twentieth.
A battle continued up front between Randy Martin, Brian Brown and Jesse Hockett ended with Hockett coming home with the win. Twenty-nine cars joined the weekly show at Lake Ozark Speedway in Eldon, MO on Saturday night. Brad lead off the night starting sixth in the first heat. As the green flag flew it was obvious a last minute adjustment had backfired. By lap three the car was too loose to hold onto and Brad ended up spinning out. In hopes of preventing any damage to the car Brad limped home at the tail end of the field.
After the poor showing in the heat race the team was looking to take advantage of a fourth place start in the first of two B features. A better handling car enabled Brad to have strong fight for third place. As Brad had taken the spot in turns three and four a caution was thrown for a turn one incident causing him to give the spot back. Brad ended the night finishing where he started in fourth.

Moving to the top side of the track Brad was able to start moving back through the field passing Eric Baldaccini and Sean McClelland. With the likes of Jason Sides and Randy Martin in the heat Brad was only able to recover back to a fifth place finish.
The fifth place finish in the heat put Brad in the first of two B mains. Brad battled most of the race with fellow WOW drive Tyler Blank as both worked there way through the field. Brad had made it to the top five at one point before the car started to tighten up and a couple of cautions shuffled the field. Brad would go on to finish ninth.

The team finally got the long awaited season underway on Saturday night April 5 at LaMonte, Mo. Brad joined thirty-five WOW drivers for their season opener. Brad started sixth in the first of four heats. On the opening lap he had to push to the high side of the track to avoid another car loosing momentum. After gathering the car back up all he could manage was a seventh place finish.
The poor finish in the heat race pushed Brad to a fifth starting spot in the first of two B features. As the race got underway Brad struggled to get a handle on the car and fell back several spots. After the first few laps Brad was able to get around several cars and move into third place. Fighting hard to get into the second transfer spot Brad slid up and off the track. This would push him to a last place finish in the B feature ending his night.
